Let's get real. My count down towards my Germany for Educators trip began about three months ago. Now that it's two days away, the anticipation is at an all-time high. While exploring Germany and seeing all it has to offer, other educators and I will also be inside schools learning about the German education system and how it differs from that of what we are used to. I am incredibly eager to not only learn and recognize these differences, but to be able to utilize what I see in German classrooms with my own students in the future.
With my expedition beginning in only two days, I guess now (or a week ago) would be a good time to start packing! I consider myself to be so lucky and blessed to have this opportunity. Having previously traveled to France, I am aware of the impact world travel can have on someone who is willing to step out of their comfort zone and be open to new things. I have already met so many new and amazing people through this program and I look forward to what the next two weeks will bring us! I will be bringing along two different cameras (a Nikon and iPhone), as well as a selfie stick to ensure that I capture our best (and worst) moments while in Germany. Let the adventure begin!
