Wow... I can't believe that our amazing adventure is starting so soon! We embark on our journey in a little over a month, and I cannot be more excited. It seems like just yesterday that the German students came here to visit Buffalo, and now we are lucky enough to visit their country and take in all of its wonders!
As each day passes, I begin to get more and more anxious (in a good way). I have never traveled without my family for this long before, so the thought of them not being there on this trip makes me a little bit nervous. However, I believe it will be great for me, because I will have to step outside of my comfort zone! I have traveled to Europe before, but I was fairly young. There are no words to describe how excited I am to travel back to Europe! Being able to observe classrooms in a different country sounds like a dream. After being in the Childhood Education program here at Buffalo State for a few years, I have gotten pretty used to the classrooms here in Buffalo. With that being said, it will be interesting to see the similarities and differences between the two settings! I am also going to be conducting research when I am abroad, so I am very excited to gather my findings and present them when I return! I am looking forward to sharing this once-in-a lifetime journey with you all. I can't believe that I am going to be able to get an inside look at the German classrooms, while eating delicious German food all on the same trip! What a life! Well, as I type, I am counting down the hours, minutes, and seconds until I leave for this incredible journey. I can't believe it will be here before I know it! So, as they say in German, bis bald, Deutchland (See you soon, Germany)!

AuthorHallo, ich bin Holly! I am an early childhood/childhood education major, and I am entering my final year of my undergrad. I am psyched to be traveling to the beautiful country of Germany! A dream of mine has always been to travel to Europe to see how European classrooms differ from our classrooms here in the states, so it is amazing that my dream is finally coming true. Along with observing the classrooms, I am also looking forward to learning about the German culture, as well as eating a lot of German food. I am beyond excited to start my journey, and I hope that you will follow me on this adventure that will be full of amazing experiences and surprises along the way! ArchivesCategories |
