As we made our way to Strasbourg, we had the opportunity to stop at two sites that transported us to the past. The Augusta Raurica Roman Ruins, with their ancient structures and artifacts, offered a glimpse into the Roman era. Walking among the remnants of the amphitheater, theater, and forum, we were reminded of the vastness and grandeur of the Roman Empire.
Our next stop, Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg, greeted us with its imposing presence atop a hill. This medieval castle, meticulously restored, provided grand views of the surrounding countryside. Exploring its halls, courtyards, and rooms felt like stepping into a fairy tale. Upon arriving in Strasbourg, we wasted no time in embarking on a lively Strasbourg Highlights Scavenger Hunt. Splitting into teams, we navigated the streets and squares of this enchanting city, competing against one another to complete challenges and uncover hidden gems. The scavenger hunt led us to iconic landmarks, including the Grande Île, a site renowned for its stunning architecture and historical significance. The towering beauty of the Cathédrale Notre-Dame-de-Strasbourg left us in amazement, with its intricate Gothic design and stained glass windows. Each discovery deepened our appreciation for the city's rich cultural heritage and storied past.
